Michael Lombardo is an Education and Integrated Services Advisor to Education and Human Service agencies. In this capacity, he works throughout California with leadership in early prevention, education, social services, health, juvenile justice, and mental health agencies to integrate and improve services for children, youth, and families. Michael advises California Health and Human Services for the Child Youth Behavioral Health Initiative, County Offices of Education, and Human Service Agencies.
Michael is a member of the California Department of Education’s State Student Attendance Review Board and Student Mental Health Policy Workgroup, as well as a board member of the California School-Based Health Alliance. He has extensive experience in implementing and scaling up evidence-based practices and coordinated the implementation of the California Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports – California PBIS. His diverse professional background includes Managing Deputy Probation Officer, Assistant Director of a Juvenile Detention Facility, Assistant Director of Placer County Children Systems of Care (Child Welfare and Children’s Mental Health Services), and Director at Placer County Office of Education, Prevention Services Division. Now, as an education advisor, his role is to help implement the Health and Human Services and Education Agencies’ better-integrated state and local-level ecosystems to improve outcomes for our communities.
